Fatal stabbing victim identified

Police have identified the Honomū man who was fatally stabbed Sunday morning as 30-year-old Joshua Earl Trickel. Police and Fire personnel were sent to a home on Pua Street in Honomū, shortly after 6:00 a.m. where the victim was discovered within the residence and with no apparent signs of life. 49-year old Daniel Schuster of Honomu was arrested at the scene and is being held at the Hilo police cellblock while detectives investigate the case, which has been classified as second-degree murder.
