Big Island police make more DUI arrests

Police arrested 18 motorists for drunk driving during the week ending July 15, 2012,including four who were involved in accidents. The number of major accidents this year stands at 785, which is up 6.9 percent from the year ago figure of 734. And following a deadly weekend that saw 5 fatalities in four days, the traffic death toll stands at 19, up 58.3 percent from 12 at this time last year.
