Traffic death toll for Big Island climbs to 18 this year

The Big Island’s traffic death toll now stands at 18, compared to 12 at this time last after four people died on island highways over a two-day period. 40-year old Toby Ledward of Kailua-Kona and 33-year old Glennard Sadumiano were killed Friday evening when a motorcycle crossed the centerline and collided with a pickup truck at the intersection of Route 11 and Kalamalani Place in Captain Cook. On Thursday, 52-year old Jessie Taylor and 38-year old Christopher Landers were killed in separate accidents in North Kohala and Kona.
