Big Island Condo Sales

Sales and median prices of condominiums on Hawai`i island outperformed those of single-family homes last month. A report from Hawai`i Information Service on the residential real estate market showed that condo sales rose 27 percent to 65 in June from 51 a year earlier, while single-family home sales declined by 20 percent from 152 to 121. The median price for Hawai`i island condos rose 13 percent to $292,000 last month from $259,000 a year earlier. Single-family homes sold for a median $245,000, down 5 percent from $257,500 in the same period.
