Hawaii voter registration deadline approaching

HONOLULU (AP) — The last day for new voters to register to vote in Hawaii's primary election is Thursday. The state Office of Elections says completed voter registration forms must be turned in to the appropriate city and county clerk by 4:30 p.m. Mailed forms must be postmarked by Thursday. Currently registered voters who have changed their name or moved since the last election should re-register before the voter registration deadline. The primary election is Aug. 11.
