Case-Hirono debate set

Congresswoman Mazie Hirono and former Congressman Ed Case will appear in a debate July 26. The debate for the U.S. Senate candidates will be hosted by Hawaii News Now and the Star-Advertiser and will air statewide from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on KHNL, KGMB and KFVE. Hirono agreed Monday to appear at a debate on commercial television. She previously agreed to five joint appearances with Case before the August 11th primary, but none on commercial television. Four debates have already been held, and a fifth had been canceled and not rescheduled.
