Hawaiian Airlines took delivery this week on its fourth Airbus A330-200 of the year. It is the ninth A330 overall to join the airline's fleet since June 2010 when it began its long-haul fleet expansion. Hawaiian will take delivery of 13 additional new A330s between 2013 and 2015, bringing the total number in its fleet to 22.
In other news, the airline said in a regulatory filing this week that it expects to report in the second quarter a higher rate of growth in passenger and operating revenue per available mile, an increase in percentage of seats filled and an increase in cost per available seat mile excluding fuel and aircraft lease termination costs.
