By Ken Hupp - 67AM KPUA News

The first U.S. Senate debate for the general election has been set, although it may not yet include the two candidates who will ultimately face-off. Former Democratic Congressman Ed Case and former Republican Governor Linda Lingle have agreed to meet at an August 15th debate focusing on business issues hosted by the Maui Chamber of Commerce. While Lingle is heavily favored to win her primary, Case is locked in a close race with Congresswoman Mazie Hirono, who was also invited, but has not yet accepted the invitation. The primary election takes place on August 11th
