Hawaii island is competing in recycling competition

Hawai`i Island is one of 50 U.S. communities competing for a $100,000 grant from SC Johnson’s Green Choices Recycling Challenge to be awarded in January. The partnership between the company and the recycling incentives program Recyclebank, encourages communities in each of the 50 states to compete for the highest recycling participation rate during the six month contest.
