The San Rafael Pacifics got great starting pitching out of righty Tyler Topp and rode Darrick Hale’s two hits to beat the Hawaii Stars 8-3 last night in North American Baseball League action on the mainland. The win improved the Pacific’s record to 9-6 and moved them one game ahead of the second place Stars in the league’s Northern Division standings. The two teams are idle today, but will open another three-game series Friday night at 4:30 p.m. Hawai`i time.
