Police make DUI arrests

Police arrested 16 motorists for drunk driving during the week ending June 17, 2012. The year to date total now stands at 646, down 4.3% from the 675 arrested by this time last year. But major accidents are up 6.3% at 676 compared to 636 a year ago and this year’s 14 fatalities constitute a 27.3% increase over the 11 recorded at this time last year.
