Gas prices in Hawaii dipped last week

Gas prices declined throughout the islands last week as the statewide average for regular went down a nickel to $4.45 a gallon, according to the AAA Hawaii Weekend Gas Watch. The price is nine cents less than a month ago and 54 cents more than a year ago. In Hilo, the average gas price is $4.57 a gallon, six cents less than last week, 18 cents less than last month and 62 cents higher than this time last year.
