40 year old man wanted by police on outstanding warrants

Police are asking for your help in finding a 40-year-old man wanted on an outstanding warrant. Sheldon Joaquin is being sought for violating terms of probation for an assault conviction. He is described as local, 5-foot-6, 150 pounds with a tan complexion. He is known to frequent the Hāmākua and Waipio Valley areas. If you have any information on where he can be found call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
