Fern Forest home damaged in fire

An early morning blaze damaged a home in Fern Forest. According to fire officials, the fire was reported at about 4:15 a.m. at a home on Jungle King Avenue upper Puna subdivision. Officials say the fire broke out in a room and caused the roof to partially collapse. A woman in the home when the fire started was able to get out safely. After arriving on scene, officials say crews were able to extinguish the fire within 15 minutes. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
