Emergency workers busy Saturday with 3 rescues
|

Emergency workers were busy Saturday, with fire crews rescuing a hiker, lifeguards saving a snorkeler and rescue crews evacuating an injured paraglider.
Firefighters were sent to the Koko Crater trail around 11:20 a.m. Saturday after getting a report a woman, believed to be in her 50s, was sick on the trail.
A helicopter was used take the woman off the trail, but she declined treatment.
Then around 2:40 p.m. Saturday lifeguards rescued a 22-year-old woman after she nearly drowned while snorkeling in Hanauma Bay.
Officials say the woman was hospitalized in serious condition.
In a third incident, officials say a man was hospitalized in critical condition after crashing while paragliding in an area above Keokea Park on Maui Saturday afternoon.
Officials did not release the names of the individuals in the three incidents.
