Emergency workers were busy Saturday, with fire crews rescuing a hiker, lifeguards saving a snorkeler and rescue crews evacuating an injured paraglider.

Firefighters were sent to the Koko Crater trail around 11:20 a.m. Saturday after getting a report a woman, believed to be in her 50s, was sick on the trail.

A helicopter was used take the woman off the trail, but she declined treatment.

Then around 2:40 p.m. Saturday lifeguards rescued a 22-year-old woman after she nearly drowned while snorkeling in Hanauma Bay.

Officials say the woman was hospitalized in serious condition.
