Hawaii bankruptcies fall for 14th straight month
|

Fewer people are filing for bankruptcies in Hawaii.
The number of bankruptcy cases filed in the state fell for the 14th straight month in April, in line with national trends.
There were 254 cases filed in Hawaii in April, down 26 percent from 342 the same month a year earlier.
Filings in Hawaii peaked at nearly 4,000 cases in 2010.
Last year they declined 16 percent to drop for the first time in five years.
