HONOLULU (AP) — University of Hawaii President M.R.C. Greenwood has created a new Advisory Council on Technology that will examine the 10-campus system's research programs.
The council will focus on the university's capabilities in research, innovation and technology, hold briefings or symposia, and develop recommendations that could help the state's economy grow.
Its members includes UH economics Professor Carl Bonham, The Intellisis Corporation Chairman Daniel Goldin, and Stanford University Office of Technology Licensing Director Katharine Ku.
University faculty attracted $414 million in research and training revenues from government and private organizations in the 2009 fiscal year.
