HONOLULU (AP) _ Hawaii Congresswoman Mazie Hirono has joined small business owners looking for science-based solutions to the energy crisis.
The businesses are petitioning Congress to enact solutions to reduce the country's dependence on oil, solve the climate crisis, create jobs and leave the environment clean.
Hirono and two fellow members of the House Committee on Small Business appeared at a Washington news conference today with three small business owners representing 3,300 small businesses nationwide.
She says America's small businesses owners know global warming solutions are a ``win-win-win opportunity'' for the country.
Hirono says they can lead to the creation 21st century jobs and the development of clean energy technologies.
