HONOLULU (AP) _ Independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader is rallying at the University of Hawaii.
Nader is a consumer advocate who says the nation's central issue is the overwhelming power of global corporations.
He will appear at the university Thursday.
Nader will be the second presidential candidate to campaign in Hawaii this election cycle. Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich visited the islands in September.
Hawaii-born Sen. Barack Obama, the presumptive Democratic nominee, has no immediate plans to campaign here.
Volunteers for Sen. John McCain, the presumptive Republican nominee, say Hawaii is not on his schedule.
Nader has qualified to be on Hawaii's ballot this November.
