(Kahului-AP) -- A Maui man was arrested Sunday morning after driving his S-U-V into the open-air ticket lobby of Kahului Airport and setting the vehicle on fire.
No one was hurt and damage was minimal.
The F-B-I and Governor Lingle say it wasn't an act of terrorism.
Lingle says the 52-year-old man from Haiku went into an emotional rage because he was upset about something with a friend.
The incident halted outgoing flights from Kahului and inconvenienced hundreds of travelers. Incoming flights continue to land at Maui's busiest airport.
The airport was reopened for departures at 6 p-m.
State Transportation Department spokesman Scott Ishikawa says smoke from the blaze caused problems with security screening equipment.
