HONOLULU (AP) _ ABC's ``Lost'' has been known for its twisting, unpredictable plot lines. Some critics suspect the story is made up on the fly.
Now, producers of the hit TV series filming in Hawaii are running out of scripts.
ABC says production of the show's fourth season has to be suspended because of the Writers Guild strike.
Filming is being halted halfway through production of the season, with eight shows in the can and eight still to be filmed.
ABC had plans to run the series without interruption once it starts, but now they say that could change because of the strike.
The walkout also has caused cancellation of the Nov. 30 launch of the third-season DVD for ``Lost.''
