HONOLULU (AP) _ T-V bounty hunter Duane ``Dog'' Chapman and his wife Beth were honored by Hawaii lawmakers yesterday for getting crooks off the street.
Members of the Hawaii House of Representatives applauded the Chapmans for their work at capturing criminals.
They also honored how they give them hope for a better way of life.
Duane Chapman is the star of the Hawaii-based reality series ``Dog the Bounty Hunter.''
It airs on A&E and follows their exploits in apprehending people who have avoided arrest warrants.
But Chapman has faced his own troubles.
He and two of his colleagues are now free on bail but still face charges that they made an illegal arrest of a fugitive convicted rapist Andrew Luster in Mexico.
